I did get started on a painting of Pandora however for a contest on myths and such. The piece is due on the 30th though and I still need to find somewhere that sells my favorite paint. Wish me luck.
Other than that, I have to do paintings of a "cat-fish", a mermaid, and a profile type thing all on commission as well as start drawing up ideas for a couple of themed sets of paintings for a friend's baby room and office. It's exciting to have so much to do because it means I don't have to come up with these ideas on my own, but it's frustrating that I can't start on any of them until I have my paint.
In other (much more exciting) news: I'm going to have an art studio next year! Our new house at college has a garage and a ton of parking out front, so we're going to leave our cars outside and deck out the garage for a nice spacious place to do our art. In the house we'll have a painting/writer, a writer, and a metal/leather worker. I want to head down to college RIGHT NOW just so I can start working in the studio.
Well, if you've read this far, i applaud you. I don't know if anyone actually reads entries like this and I feel a little full of myself expecting people who I don't even know to read this rant, but i wanted to test out my journal and maybe update it every now and then to keep a record for myself.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
